ATV and dirt bike riders enjoy 400 acres with approximately 20 miles of motorized trails, 2 cross-country areas, as well as a designated children's area. UTVs and four-wheel drive vehicles are not allowed since the vehicle spans greater than 50 inches. The main pit is a former gravel pit at 6,200 foot elevation just below Granite Mountain. There is also a smaller gravel pit. Higher terrain trails rise to 6,400 foot elevation. Rock and granite surface the area with ponderosa pine around. A host is available to provide information and assist visitors.

Some More Things to Know
Each camp site usually accommodates one vehicle towing a camp trailer plus one additional vehicle (there is a charge for additional vehicle). Vehicles must be parked in space provided on site. Depending on the site, trailers between 22 feet to 40 feet in length can be accommodated. Trails and cross-country areas are for vehicles 50" wide or less All vehicles must have USFS approved spark arrestor in working condition. All vehicles must meet Federal and State noise standards - AZ max. 96 dba Dawn to dusk riding only.

From downtown Prescott, take Gurley Street west to Montezuma Street. Take Montezuma (Whiskey Row) north until it turns into Iron Springs Road. Follow Iron Springs approximately 5 miles to Alto Pit.
