Canyon de Chelly - Hiking

Guided Hiking Trips

Approved Navajo hiking guides are required for guided backpacking trips into the canyon. Guided hikes from a few hours to overnight excursions are available.

White House Trail		Intermediate	1 mile mile oneway	25-50 minutes

	The only trail in the canyon that does not require a guide, the White House Trail leads to ruins that date from about 1200 A.D. -- some of the oldest in Canyon De Chelly National Monument.
