Christmas Tree Lake Fish Camp

This campground is located on the White Mountain Apache Reservation.

Christmas Tree Lake was named because it was the location that supplied the 1965 White House Christmas Tree. It is a 41 acre lake stocked with trout and the White Mountain Apache Tribe offers a unique fully outfitted fishing and camping program in early May. It includes four-man heated tents, boats, meals and permits.

$200 a day on Weekdays
$275 a day for the First Weekend

 Some More Things to Know

This campground is on the White Mountain Apache Reservation. All recreation (fishing, camping, hiking, riding, picnics …) require permits that are available from retailers in the area. Follow the rules - penalties can be severe.

Christmas Tree Lake is a "Special Permit Area".


 Directions

From Pinetop:
Hwy 260 east to Hwy 73 then south for 6.7 miles and turn left at Cottonwood Creek then follow signs for about 18 miles.
