East Rim Viewpoint Scenic Drive

East Rim Viewpoint Scenic Drive runs through mixed conifer forests interspersed with meadows changing to ponderosa pine and pinyon-juniper along the north side of the Grand Canyon. The viewpoints provide panoramas of House Rock Valley, Vermilion Cliffs, and Marble Canyon. The East Rim Viewpoint overlooks North Canyon and the Saddle Mountain Wilderness.

The Forest Service Roads are gravel suitable for passenger vehicles in dry weather.

To get there:

From Kaibab Plateau Visitor Center, go south on Hwy 67 for 26.5 miles (0.7 mile beyond DeMotte Park Campground entrance) to Forest Service Road 611. Turn east onto FSR 611 and go 1.4 miles to the intersection with FSR 610. Continue east and north on FSR 611 for about 3 miles to the turnaround at the East Rim Viewpoint.

Turn east onto FR 611 and go 1.4 miles to the intersection with FSR 610. Continue east and north on FSR 611 for about 3 miles to the turnaround at East Rim Viewpoint.
