Grand Canyon Day Hike Whitewater Rafting & Cave Explorer
Day One:
Starting from your Las Vegas hotel, you will be shuttled to the airport for a scenic flight over the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead on the way to the Grand Canyon. From here, our private tour vans provide escape from commercial buses and crowds, and allow you to enjoy the grandeur of the South Rim. Awesome vistas, ancient ruins, and a hike below the rim are all part of the day. After a stop at Desert View Watchtower, you'll leave Grand Canyon National Park for the Cameron Trading Post, a great place for authentic native art. From here, an hour drive across the Navajo Reservation will take you to historic Flagstaff. Check-in to your Flagstaff hotel.
Day Two:
This is the only one-day whitewater rafting trip in the Grand Canyon. Your journey begins with a scenic drive through the Hualapai Indian Reservation to Diamond Creek. Once your geared up and on the mighty Colorado River, it's a short boat ride and a quick hike to hidden Travertine Falls. After the falls, the real adventure begins as you descend several major rapids, including Honeymoon Rapid and its Fangs! After the technical whitewater, the Colorado River will calm for infinite photo opportunities, wildlife sightings, and a unique cultural history lesson from your Native river guides. Helicopter flight up to the Grand Canyon's Rim. Shuttle back to your hotel.
Day Three:
Day three is the subterranian part of your adventure. Equipped with jumpsuits, headlamps, and helmets, you'll descend into the Redwall Limestone for a caving adventure. Your private guide will lead you through squeezes to little seen chambers, and educate you on caving and speleology. For those of you who are a bit claustrophobic: don't worry, we offer a less strenuous, more open cave tour as a substitute. Once above ground, your shuttle will take you back to Las Vegas.
