Hot Loop is a wonderfully challenging hike over some nice terrain. Overall elevation change is about 1,200 feet -- 600 up / 1,200 down / 600 up. Part of the route is along regular roads. From the trailhead hike about 2 miles and take the right fork onto the trail down Woods Canyon. You'll reach another junction, take a left and follow it to Hwy. 179. Follow Hwy. 179 north to Jack's Canyon Rd. and then to the parking lot.
