Lewis Canyon Campground is located in a beautiful ponderosa pine setting with a large open field nearby. Wild turkeys, elk and deer are often seen nearby. The trailhead to the Juniper Ridge Trail #640 is located at the group campground. This trail is open to non-motorized vehicles; hikers, horses and mountain bicycles. The trail is a pleasant 14 mile loop through ponderosa pines, juniper and manzanita county. A shorter 7 mile loop trail is also marked. Capacity of campground is 150 people.

Directions
Drive to the intersection of State Hwy. 260 and Road 130. Turn south on Road 130 and drive through Pinedale to the U.S. Forest Service work center. Continue south 2.3 miles on Road 130 to Road 130A, which turns right and goes directly to Lewis Canyon Group Campground.
