After going through the Butler Avenue intersection, get in the left lane, and make a sharp left immediately after the railroad overpass onto West Santa Fe Ave. Drive to the fork at the end of West Santa Fe, at the base of a hill. Take the right fork, and drive up the switchback road. You'll come to Lowell's Steele Visitor Center parking lot a little over a mile from the fork. After passing through the Humphreys street intersection, go straight on Rt. 66 as Milton road curves off to the left, one block past Humphreys. You are now westbound on West Santa Fe Ave. Follow the directions above. Entering Flagstaff from the north (from Highway 180/Grand Canyon), make a right onto Humphreys street and drive down to the Rt. 66 intersection. Turn right, and stay on Rt. 66 as Milton road curves off to the left after one block. You are now westbound on West Santa Fe Ave. Follow the directions above.
