Parissawampitts Point Scenic Drive

The drive to Parissawampitts Point leads through a stately ponderosa pine forest to a panoramic view of the Grand Canyon and its tributary canyons. Tapeats Amphitheater, Fishtail Mesa, Steamboat Mountain, and Great Thumb Mesa can all be seen from here.

To get there:

Turn west on FR 461, 0.3 mile south of Visitor Center at Jacob Lake, and go 9 miles on Forest Roads 461 and 462 to FR 422. Turn south for about 19 miles (12.3 miles beyond Big Springs) to FR 206. Continue south on FR 206 for 3.5 miles and turn west onto FR 214. Follow FR 214 for 8 miles to Parissawampitts Point at the end of the road.
