Perkinsville Road Scenic Drive

Perkinsville Road Scenic Drive In the fall, Perkinsville Road Scenic Drive is a good route to enjoy the changing colors of the area's aspen groves. It provides access to nice views of Bill Williams Mountain and wildlife can often be seen at Barney Flat, a large meadow located 5 miles south of Williams.

Nearby, turn right onto FR 108 and travel 2 miles to Coleman Lake. Approximately 12 miles south on CR 73, Vista Point offers excellent views of Mingus Mountain, the Bradshaw Mountains and the Verde Valley. From there, you can continue on to Jerome, a historic mining town, or you can turn right where the pavement ends and continue on to Drake and 89A (Prescott/Ash Fork).

It is 24 miles one way to the end of pavement. Add about 10 miles on dirt CR71 to Hwy 89A at Drake (south of Ashfork).
