Lake Pleasant Lake Size:  15.6 sq. miles   
Lake Pleasant Regional Park is a large lake near the Phoenix metro area and less than 20 miles from Peoria. With over 10,000 acres of water, visitors can enjoy water skiing, jet skiing, sailing or fishing.

Apache Lake Lake Size:  2,568 acres   
Formed by Horse Mesa Dam, Apache Lake is long and narrow and is the second largest Salt River Project lake. It is located off the Apache Trail (Highway 88) about 65 miles from Phoenix, and is a favorite with many sportsmen, particularly those from southern Arizona.

Bartlett Lake Lake Size:  2830 acres   
Bartlett Lake is one of two reservoirs on the Verde River northeast of Phoenix. This large reservoir supports water skiing, fishing and personal watercraft.

Canyon Lake Lake Size:  950 acres   
Canyon Lake is the smallest, and most attractive, of the Salt River Projects lakes. The lake is 51 miles east of Phoenix and a popular spot for swimming and boating. It has a designated swimming site, a pair of boating ramps and several recreation areas.

Castle Hot Springs
Castle Hot Springs is a gorgeous hike/drive. With some small cattle ranches, strange and unusual rock formations, mountains, and lots of wildlife along the way.

Horseshoe Reservoir Lake Size:  2800 acres   
Horseshoe Reservoir is one of the most remote lakes in the Phoenix area and features quieter recreation opportunites.

Roosevelt Lake Lake Size:  19,199 surface acres   
When full, Roosevelt Lake covers more than 25 square miles near the confluence of Tonto Creek and the Salt River. It is very popular boating destination. Game fish in Roosevelt include largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish and crappie.

Saguaro Lake Lake Size:  1,100 acres   
Saguaro Lake, 41 miles from downtown Phoenix, is the closest boating lake to Phoenix. It has plenty of recreation areas and facilities. It is regularly stocked with fish.
