Playground Group Campground

Located in the pines atop Mingus Mountain, this group campground offers visitors hiking, scenic vistas, fishing in Mingus Lake and cool summertime temperatures. On a clear day the scenic overlook of the Verde Valley is spectacular.

This group campground can handle 100 people maximum, and must be reserved.

 Directions

Take Highway 89A (7 miles southwest of Jerome, or 13 miles east of Prescott Valley) to Forest Road 104. Travel on Forest Road 104 for 2 miles to Campground.
