Round Mountain Scenic Drive

Round Mountain Scenic Drive traverses all types of vegetation (pine, oak, aspen and grassland) on its way to the top of the mountain. The drive is rugged, but once you reach the top, you'll have an excellent view of Sycamore Canyon Wilderness.

Location: South of Williams, Arizona
Setting: Mountainous
Surface: Gravel, passable in dry weather only.
Vehicle: High Clearance Vehicle
Length: 24 mile loop
Time to Allow: 1-2 hours
Season: Drivable year round (in dry weather)

To get there:

Head south of Williams on 4th Street. Turn left onto FR 110 to the junction of FR 105. Turn right and proceed on FR 105. Go right on FR 138 and left on 138A to Round Mountain. Return to FR 105 by turning left off FR 138A to FR 138. Turn right on FR 105 and right again on FR 354. FR 354 finally ties into County Road 73 near Summit Mountain.

Head south of Williams on 4th Street. Turn left onto FR 110 to the junction of FR 105. Turn right and proceed on FR 105. Go right on FR 138 and left on 138A to Round Mountain. Return to FR 105 by turning left off FR 138A to FR 138. Turn right on FR 105 and right again on FR 354. FR 354 finally ties into County Road 73 near Summit Mountain.
