Out in the southeastern corner of Arizona where I-10 laces itself across the desert and through the hills like a ribbon tangled in the wind, there is 'heaven on earth' waiting to be discovered. It's down close to the Arizona-New Mexico line, and about one hour south of I-10 towards Mexico. Nestled in among the foothills of the mystical Chiricahua Mountains with their peaks reaching to the heavens, is Sunglow Ranch. Those in the know say it is 'where the universe meets the earth,' - where the old oak forest and native grasses embrace the guests as they drive down that last mile of winding, dirt road. Most visitors are overwhelmed with the natural beauty, the cool mountain air (5400') and the awesome transformation of the 'newly renovated' ranch.

A Phoenix rising from a wild and chaotic beginning...on the same land where the likes of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday rode 'hell bent for leather' across the valley floor, then with their horses lathered and heaving, climbed up over the peaks which eventually dropped them down into New Mexico and points beyond. A land where the spirits of Geronimo and his band of Apaches still roam at will, and where Johnny Ringo came to his final resting place. Today, Sunglow Ranch, while proud of its history, has gently washed the facade away, exposing itself as the crown jewel in the Chiricahuas.

Located on 400 pristine acres and backed up to 300,000 acres of national forest, the ranch is small and intimate. A $2 million renovation project was completed in 2004, but holding true to our mission statement, "to create a warm and inviting atmosphere with great service and delicious food for our guests, while protecting the integrity of the natural habitat and wildlife of Sunglow Ranch," the ranch is more upscale, but still laid back and comfortable. There are nine beautifully designed casitas, with murals by Tucson artist, Freia Ramsey. Some casitas have fireplaces, and all have their own theme and patios with spectacular views. It is also the home of the charming Sunglow Cafe.

There is no pretense at Sunglow Ranch. Here, in its beautiful array of rich warm colors and friendly staff...everyone kicks back and relaxes. You want to wear shorts and Birkenstockes to dinner? No problem.
