Description

There are many trails to explore in the Lone Pine Dam area. There is access to two motocross tracks and the Fools Hollow Lake area, which is a nice long ride.

Plenty of mud to go around when its wet. Otherwise it is for the most part sand in the lower areas and predominantly rocky, with hard pack through out.

Many easy trails to choose from as well as some intermediate one to ride as well in the 6,400 acres of terrain.

At the moment this area is not officially marked Navajo county is considering marking the Lone Pine Dam are as an ORV area if enough people are ridding there. On an average weekend there are 10-30 people riding in the area.

Basic Directions
11 miles north of Showlow, on hwy 77, west on lone pine dam road/waste transfer station. 3 miles, unload around the spillway across the dam. The riding area is to the south.
