Basic Directions

On Highway 93, 20 miles north of Kingman at milepost 51, BLM's Big Wash Road heads northeast. Follow this road about 13 miles, past Windy Point and Packsaddle recreation sites. The Cherum Peak trailhead will be located on your left, just before the road begins to descend steeply toward Chloride. Park alongside the road, not blocking traffic. High clearance vehicles are recommended on Big Wash Road, although four-wheel drive is not necessary. Higher elevations of this road may become impassible during periods of snow or prolonged rainfall.
