Description
The Fantasy Island Loops are well known in the Tucson area as being the premier super fun singletrack biking area. Numerous loops canvas the Fantasy Island area, a venerable amusement park of twisting and rolling singletrack loveliness.
The loops are located on a 3 mile square piece of state land and have been hand built just for mountain biking. The northern most loops are the most difficult. All loops are ridden one way, counter clockwise to increase the enjoyment level of riders here. There are some bigger drops on several of the trails which can be portaged by less experienced riders. And unique to this trail system is a mountain biking half-pipe, sure to inspire the kiddies!
Permits are required to bike at the Fantasy Island Loops and cost $15 per year. The permit can also be used on other Arizona state trust lands.
