Description
Filloon Trail provides access from Little Goose Horse Camp to Lemei Trail No. 34. Much of the trail is in heavy second-growth forests. One of the features of this connector trail is the huckleberries in late summer. Eat your fill, but remember, removing huckleberries from the wilderness is prohibited.
Little Goose Horse Camp was once the location of Little Goose Ranger Station. The ranger station was built around 1930 and dismantled in the 1960s. Many of the historic photos taken of Native Americans in the berry fields were taken by Ray Filloon, a Forest Service ranger stationed here.
