Not only does this range have the highest point in southwest Arizona (Harquahala Peak at 5,691 feet), but it has something very unique indeed, a screened interior canyon system that preserves rare desert flora and fauna.

Take Highway 60 west from Wickenburg. The dirt road into the wilderness is between mileposts 70 and 71.
