DescriptionThe Boulders is one of the finest golf resorts in the world. The resort’s two 18-hole championship golf courses, designed by Jay Morrish, are considered some of the most demanding in the Southwest, and are known for their rugged beauty and breathtaking panoramas.
Both courses have won some of the industry’s highest accolades including Golf Magazine’s "Gold Medal,” Golf Digest’s "Top 25 U.S. Resorts” and Links’ "Top Five - Best of the West,” and the Number 1 ranking in Golf For Women Magazine 2005 "Best Courses for Women" to name just a few.
The Boulders Resort: opened in January 1985 and is situated on 1,300 acres in the Sonoran Desert foothills of Carefree, Arizona, just north of Scottsdale. The 160 guest casitas and 55 one-, two- and three-bedroom Pueblo Villas – many of which are situated along the golf course – are shaped into the natural terrain and grouped in village-like clusters to the north and south of the main lodge.

Rating: 73.3 from the black tees; 71.4 from the blue tees; 69.2 from the white tees; 70.8 from the gold tees and 68.1 from the red tees. Slope: 146 from the black tees; 137 from the blue tees; 127 from the white tees; 118 from the gold tees and 114 from the red tees.
The Boulders offers 36 challenging holes, a golf pro shop, fitness center, restaurant, and a residential home development.
