This is the real thing. It is not just another horseback ride.
This is horseback riding in Arizona at it's best - You will start your ride from an authentic old cowboy camp/ranch headquarters built not for tourists, but before tourists located in the Castle Hot Springs area near Lake Pleasant. Betty's Trail Rides is in the heart of cowboy land, surrounded by present day cattle ranches and is the most spectacular part of the Sonoran Desert. We have exclusive permits to take you on the adventure of your life into seldom seen areas of the majestic Hell's Canyon Wilderness Area, the Lake Pleasant Regional Park and many other trails used by Native Americans and settlers of yesteryear.
See the places where Native American people lived. Ride over the old ranch ranges many of which are still used today, and traveling past old prospector's diggings will take you back to a time where you can see the early Arizona moments of history in the making. You will always look back with joy on this Arizona Moment of desert mountains and winding through giant saguaro cacti.
Hat Rock in Mexican Hat, Utah, near Monument Valley - This beautiful area is just north of Monument Valley right on your way to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and Mesa Verde.
Ride with Betty and Rusty on one of the most beautiful horseback rides in the Southwest. Get close-up and spectacular veiws of the Hat Rock. You will ride completely around the Hat Rock, viewing it from the best way you can, on horseback. See fabulous views of the Raplee Anticline. Take photographs from vantage points not possible from the highway.
You will wind your way along the San Juan River, through canyons and over sand dunes. You may see deer and other wildlife scurrying along about their daily tasks. As you ride along, you will hear the legand of the Mexican Hat rock and of the early pioneer history of the area. This is a rich part of Southern Utah in both scenery and history and is a horseback ride that will make memories that will last a lifetime.
