Description

Apache Trout is the newest campground in the Big Lake Recreation Area complex and has full hookups. There are two group sites: site A can accommodate up to 100 people and group B can accommodate up to 50 people. Deer, skunks and bear are common campground visitors .Nearby activities include picnicking, fishing, boating, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, bird watching and wildlife viewing. Be prepared for rain, often heavy through July and August. Because of the high elevation be prepared for cool night time temperatures.
