  • Arches National Park

Arches National Park is home to the largest concentration of sandstone arches in the world, some 2,000 in all. The park offers a great scenic drive and numerous good short hikes through the desert landscape for close looks at its most impressive rock formations.

  • Bullhead City

The Bullhead City and Laughlin, Nevada area is a good destination for those desiring outdoor recreation with their gambling. Water activity on the Colorado River is plentiful and all the beauty and adventure of the desert are on the edge of town.

  • Canyonlands National Park

Canyonlands National Park is home to an immense expanse of deep orange-red canyons carved by the Colorado and Green Rivers and a wonderful array of superlative red rock formations. In addition to being a feast for the eyes, it provides great opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, 4wd adventuring, and white water rafting.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area has 1.5 million acres on the banks of the Colorado River, Lake Mead and Lake Mohave.

  • Lake Powell

Lake Powell is a vast body of clear blue water beautifully contained within tall orange-red cliff walls. Thousands of snaking finger canyons run from the main canyon and beg exploration. Houseboating, power boating, water skiing and fishing are all popular, as is camping along its nearly 2,000 miles of shoreline.

  • Laughlin

Laughlin, Nevada is a major gambling destination just across the Arizona border from Bullhead City, Arizona. Laughlin attracts some five million visitors a year with a busy hub of restaurants, shopping, showrooms, and casinos along the Colorado River.

  • Moab

Moab is a small town that makes a terrific destination for those seeking outdoor recreational activities. It offers numerous great opportunities for desert mountain biking, hiking and 4wd adventuring. The Colorado River passes by town with excellent calm water and whitewater options. And it is just a few minutes from Arches and a short drive from Canyonlands.

Page was born in the early 1960's with creation of Lake Powell. It now serves as a base town for those visiting that wonderful body of water. The young town doesn't have much character, but it does offer lots of accomodations, some restaurants and plenty of fast food.

  • Parker

Parker, Arizona sits on the banks of the Colorado River and is a major destination for winter visitors and year round water recreation. This stretch of the Colorado River, known as the Parker Strip, is swift and often populated by river tubers, water skiers and fishermen.

  • Yuma

Yuma's beautiful winter weather is the number one reason to visit Yuma. During the summer visitors come to enjoy water recreation on the Colorado River north of town up to Martinez Lake.
