Description

Hikers along Jackson Lake’s Prairie Wetlands Nature Trail may encounter one of the more than 300 species of migratory and resident birds known to inhabit this area. These birds include the lark bunting, horned lark, meadowlark, raptors, waterfowl, shorebirds and songbirds. Two rare bird species, the white pelican and bald eagle, may be observed seasonally.
