Uncle Jim Trail begins at the North Kaibab Trail parking lot and winds through the forest to a point overlooking the canyon. The trail is a loop trail that goes along Roaring Springs and Bright Angel Canyons. Trail will overlook the upper sections of the North Kaibab trail. You'll need to start this hike from the Ken Patrick trailhead. A short way along the Ken Patrick trail, you will come upon the Uncle Jim Trailhead. The trail has some inclines but is most flat. It is well-defined and has shade. This trail is also used by mules.
