Uncle Jim Trail

Uncle Jim Trail begins at the North Kaibab Trail parking lot and winds through the forest to a point overlooking the canyon. The trail is a loop trail that goes along Roaring Springs and Bright Angel Canyons. Trail will overlook the upper sections of the North Kaibab trail.

You'll need to start this hike from the Ken Patrick trailhead. A short way along the Ken Patrick trail, you will come upon the Uncle Jim Trailhead. The trail has some inclines but is most flat. It is well-defined and has shade. This trail is also used by mules.



 The Basics

Location: At the North Kaibab Trail parking lot along the North Rim about 2 miles from the Lodge
Difficulty: Easy
Length: 5 mile roundtrip
Time to Allow: 3 hours
Season: Late Spring to Fall


 Directions to Trailhead

You start at the North kaibab Trail parking lot and follow the Ken Patrick Trail for a bit.
